Ensuring
People Know We Care
- It
is important to us that people know we care for two reasons
1. We feel better when we are appreciated
2. The patients will feel more relaxed and so their treatment
will be easier for them.
- We
care for the people we work with. We make a great team
but we acknowledge that this requires effort on everyone’s
part to understand each other and to look after them.
It is important we speak to them with respect at all times.
- A
happy face is a caring face. Whoever we talk to, whether
it be patient or colleague, we remember that body language
is as important as what we say, as is the tone in which
it is said. We always therefore try to give our full attention
to whoever we are talking to
- People
like to see you smile- it makes them know you care.
- We
all work in a stressful environment and at times can be
short with one another. We strive to address each other
with respect at all times.
-
We accept that it is important to always use someone’s
name when talking to them. Other people’s points
of view deserve respect even if we do not agree with them.
In any discussion we want to ensure that the outcome is
a win / win situation based on honesty and integrity.
We do not want to win if it makes the other person feel
as though they have lost.
- We
feel it is important to say sorry when we have done something
that another person is not happy about.
